History:
Pinocchio
was first produced by The Wichita Children's Theatre professional resident ensemble for the Once Upon a Time series.  First performance was September 26, 1996 and ran for 7 performances. It was directed by John (JB) Boldenow and choreographed by Barb Schoenhofer.

Production Length: 55 minutes. Recommended for Audiences Age 4 and up.

Characters: 

Pinocchio - the puppet.
Geppetto - Longs for a little boy.
Blue Fairy - She tries to help Pinocchio become a real boy for Geppetto.
Cat - Villain.  The silly one.  Very simple minded.
Fox - Villain.  The brains of the two.  Gets very frustrated with Cat.

All Pinocchio wants is to become a real boy for Geppetto, but he keeps getting into so much trouble--and for some reason, his nose keeps growing! Pinocchio learns that being "real" means he must tell the truth.

Setting:

Geppetto's workshop interior, Streets, Belly of Whale interior.
